Just one additional note – I have a keyboard without touchpad and I really miss it. That’s why I’m taking my MX Master with me – because then it feels more like a proper device to do stuff.

I’m not taking my M1 Air with me whenever I’m traveling and I’m settling on bringing iPad Air and honestly it’s been very refreshing. It’s not the same, I can’t do everything on it, but having LTE, great screen and my fav iOS apps is good enough to leave Mac at home.
