I pulled the trigger last night and purchased a dongle for Home Assistant, which enables me to connect directly with Thread/Matter/Zigbee, along with a very affordable Zigbee-enabled sensor. I believe this signifies my transition from Apple HomeKit to a more platform-agnostic system. I’m here for it.

My work is not physically demanding (hey, I sit at the computer for 8 hours), but the first thing that starts to suffer is my voice. After a few hours of meetings, by the end of the day, my voice always gives out.

The only way I feel comfortable using my large phone (14 Plus) is with the dbrand grip case. It’s extremely grippy and sturdy, so even if I drop it, I’m confident it will withstand the impact.

I contemplated on smaller iPhone test but I cannot. SE can’t use two esims at the same time and my personal & work sim cards are esims. Bummer! I liked the idea of a really, really small phone again.

Got my wife’s SE (2 gen) and I’m thinking of an experiment of using a smaller phone (than my 14 Plus). I’m definitely going to miss my big phone camera and keyboard but I’m really considering going all in.

Wifey made a cake yesterday for Easter. She’s crazy, it is very good.

A couple months ago an Asian Market place opened in the neighbourhood and they serve THE BEST Asian food I had in a while. Menu is small – mostly pho and bahn mi but whatever you get you’ll be surprised how good it is.

I need more photographers in my feed, like – really good ones to get better with my pics. Do you have anything that you look at frequently? I don’t care about the genre, I need good photography.

I hope Pixel 8a has a good battery.

Thinking about moving from Obsidian to Evernote because Evernote has better UI and works better on Android (without Obsidian Sync, and if I have to pay I can pay for Evernote as well as for Obsidian). Why shouldn’t I do it?

I wish I started doing my smart-home in Home Assistant. It’s now just a pain in the ass and lot’s of money to dig out of this Apple-only hole.
