“When you think about it, this is nothing like the EU’s recent-ish mandate that most electronic devices must support USB-C ports for charging. I still think that law was unnecessary — the market forces had worked, and the whole world had either already moved (like iPads did starting in 2018) or was on the cusp of moving to USB-C (like iPhones).”

Holy fuck, I’m not the brightest but I know a bad take when I see one.

Life is too short to listen to shitty podcasts, I say to myself when I try to skim through uninteresting parts of Cortex and simultaneously unsubscribing to LOTS of different podcasts that I haven’t listened to nor will listen to anytime in the future.

I see myself turning my phone notifications off more and more. I like when my phone is dead silent and I can check it when I want to. Also, double notifications (one on my pc, one on my phone) are so fucking annoying.

Also, Android stuck. I’m good. Like – seriously – everything works great. No issues (other than battery, but that’s fixable with either a power bank or – later on – getting a slightly better phone).

I’m very curious about these new, Chinese phones with 7000/8000 mAh batteries. This is bonkers. But also, I’m not going to use something that isn’t the Pixel experience because this is wild how good it is.

I reinstalled Windows like I said a couple of days ago but didn’t have a chance to actually configure it for a week, so I’m on Mac for my second week, and honestly, it’s so refreshing.

Not sure if I would change my decision in the past from this tower PC to some kind of Mac Mini. On one hand, Windows is bad, and Linux lacks some apps I need for work. On the other, I’m playing games on my PC (not in last week though, but it was a crazy week in my defense!) and I very much like it.

I’m going to configure it later for sure, but maybe I should make my PC exclusively a personal gaming machine with no work on it at all? Maybe that’s the move?
